June 20, 2009 marks the first day of the Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure (GOBA). This is the 21st annual GOBA tour and this year the tour begins in Norwalk, Ohio. After a parade and a little mingling with the locals, we head off to the Huron County fairgrounds, where more than 2000 participants have already setup their tents for the evening. As morning breaks, we begin packing our gear and loading it up on trucks to be transported to Elmore, the target city of our first day of riding. More on this adventure will be posted when I return...
Sometime in October, the Grand Canyon Hiking Company will be taking on another four day hiking challenge. The trails chosen for this adventure are the Boucher, Tonto and Hermit trails. We plan on making it down to the Colorado River on this hike. Our company will include my daughter Laurynn, her husband Kenny, Nate (Amber's husband), me and another friend of Kenny and Laurynn. More on this story later...
